My research centers on the Geoinformatics for Food-Energy-Water (GeoFEW). The specific research topics include Water Resources Planning and Management, GIS Analysis and Modeling, Energy Geography, and Agricultural Land Use. In recent years, I focus on interdisciplinary and emerging technologies, such as geospatial artificial intelligence, social media data mining, social-technical analysis, and UAVs (drone). I have received ~ 2.5 million grants from different agencies, including four grants from the NSF.
